After months of frenzied speculation, Liverpool FC finally confirmed today they will be visiting Indonesia for the first time this summer and the reaction from supporters in the country has been nothing short of phenomenal

The Reds have more fans on social media from Indonesia than from any other country in the world, so it was little surprise that the reaction to today's news was so excitable.
For Fajar Nugraha, President of BIGREDS, the official LFC Supporters' Club in Indonesia, the news is a dream come true as he told lfctour.com...
"Liverpool Football Club has been part of my life since around 1994," he said. "To be given a chance to see them playing live in your own country, inside your National Stadium against your national football players will be a very special moment. Level of excitement: 100 out of 10!"
When Liverpool announced last summer that they would come to Asia in 2013, did you always think Indonesia would be one of the countries they would visit?
"To be honest...yes! They've visited Singapore in 2009 then Malaysia in 2011. So, looking at the size of the fanbase and the connection the club has been making through social media, I thought it would be either Thailand or Indonesia for 2013 Pre-Season tour. Not a bad guess it seems!"
As President of BIGREDS - what activities will you be planning for Liverpool's visit?
"Lots of pre-activities (on ground and digital) from now until July. And also hoping to establish one point which could gather Liverpool FC Supporters (mainly from Indonesia, our friends from South East Asia and other countries ) on the match day. It will be a little bit tricky due to the event which will be held on fasting month. But we'll make sure to put our best effort for this one."

For the Liverpool players who've never visited Indonesia before - what sort of reaction do you think they can expect for the game?
"Indonesia really has a unique and different way of supporting the team inside the stadium. We'll try to bring that great Anfield atmosphere to the national stadium whilst also adding a local flavour. It will be a new and different experience I think for all of the players and also for our national players."
Does Indonesia have a favourite Liverpool player in your opinion? Who will get the best reception?
"It has to be our captain fantastic - Steven Gerrard with no hesitation. He's never been to South East Asia for a game before. I bet it won't only be Liverpool FC supporters who will be waiting for Stevie G to step foot on Indonesian soil. I can only imagine what the reaction will be like but I think it's safe to say it will be massive and crazy."
Finally, for Liverpool fans intending to fly over from England for the game, what can they expect of their visit to Indonesia?
"First of all is they will definitely meet lots of nice and helpful people here so they shouldn't be worried if they get lost somewhere. And of course, outside of the great atmosphere that we'll bring to the stadium, Indonesia really has a lot of beautiful places to explore. I'd suggest trying to visit places outside of Jakarta like Yogyakarta, Lombok, Manado etc. They will also find diverse local souvenirs here with lots of them are handmade and beautifully crafted. So, bring extra luggage, lads!"
